First of all, I have to make sure that you understand: I’m not a professional cyclist. I do ride a lot tho (in my opinion), race from time to time and can ride fast sometimes. But all my cycling adventures you can read on here are just a hobby next to my full time job in a film production company. My first roadbike ride was just two years ago and since then, I share my fun and also not so fun moments on Social Media. This not only gathered a lot of followers, but also some partners which help me to reach my highest level and the most comfort while riding my bike. To keep this transparent, I will keep this list of long term and temporary cooperations online and updated.
Long Term Partnerships
In January, I won the #OrbeaChallenges2019 Lottery and got supplied with a beatiful Orbea Orca Aero, two kits for winter and summer and a helmet. I will train on this bike for the next months and also race on it, and when I’m not riding my bike, I will hopefully share a lot of great memories about the challenges I conqueered with this bike with you.
Many of you probably know that I was in Team Alpecin 2018, the amateur edition of the Pro-Team Katusha Alpecin. We got the chance to ride with exactly the equipment the pros get. Although I’m an All Star now (after a year, the team ends and new Rookies get the chance to enjoy this experience), I still join some events for Alpecin and share my highlights, that’s why I added the Dr. Kurt Wolff Institute on here.
Isadore crossed my path when my cycling “career” was really young and I just had a few hundred followers. Ever since then, we have a long term partnership and I can try some of their beautiful equipment handmade in Slovakia. The Brand was founded by Ex Pro Cyclists Martin and Peter Velits with a heart for “stuff that simply works” and a focus on sustainability and crafting local to give something back to society.
“Nothing to prove, just roads to ride, air to breath, your favourite coffee to drink…” Thats what a SaKO7 Rider is all about. Since early 2019, I’m riding also in the Equipment from this brand from South Africa and am quite delighted by the quality and the simple stile of their Kits and Socks.
Since June 2019, I’m wearing Lazer Helmets during my rides and races, all equipped with MIPS. They make me feel safe on my bike and enjoy every second with them.
Ever since the Team Alpecin, I was riding in Northwave Shoes and am more than happy with them. My Extreme Pro are really stiff while fitting really comfortable. Luckily, Northwave is still cooperationg with me although my time in the team has ended and now I also enjoy their kits, socks, overshoes and gloves a lot.
Since changing my cycling computer from “the other famous brand” to the Wahoo, my rides, routing and tracking has become a lot easier. We “met” each other also during Team Alpecin and since then have an amazing partnership, for example, at the Zwift X Wahoo Tour in Vienna where I cycled on the 3rd place.
The german brand supplies me with high end roadbike tires and tubes so I can enjoy a lot of miles without punctures.
I’m riding LOOK Keo Carbon Ceramic pedals on my roadbike and I’m really in love with them.
I use the TrainerRoad app for structured training.
I drink my water and Iso out of Camelbak bottles. They say: once you go Camelbak, you never go back.
Nice to my stomach and gives a lot power: I eat and drink Maurten Gels and Drinks during my trainings and races.
Well, that’s a pretty long list, but I still find ways to spend a lot of money on cycling stuff. Lol.
